Among the active players on the ATP tour, only a few grand slam winners are left on the frame. Murray has been one of the players who seem to have never lost hope in his career. The three-time Grand Slam winner has played 33 matches this season. He has lost 17 matches and has been struggling on tour in the past two months.
The 36-year-old has lost five of his last seven matches on the tour. Murray also played in four challenger events mid-season. He won three of them and lost in the opening round at Bordeaux to Stan Wawrinka. The world No.42 also played in the Davis Cup and secured a crucial point for the team against Switzerland.
