The venture was part of the Rafa Nadal Academy extension project by Movistar. This week Rafa officially open the “Roland-Garros Restaurant”, an eatery whose ambience imitates the French Grand Slam.

Nadal did not have to invest any capital in the partnership, thanks to his long-standing and successful relationship with Roland Garros organisers.
The highlight of the restaurant is a mural of four iconic champions. The King of Clay himself is featured in between 6 time champions Bjorn Borg and Steffi Graff .

It is not the first time Nadal has been inspired by a grand slam for his academy. There is already a space dedicated to the Australian Open, to watch the matches. Another eatery is dedicated to the US Open that serves as a cafeteria.
This is far from Nadal’s first go as a restauranteur. He’s one of the owners of the Tatel Group alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Pau Gasol, which features locations in Madrid and Los Angeles.
