“It was a tough match against a great player like Diego. I was a little bit nervous at the end of the match but fortunately I won,” he said (via ATP Tour).
Thiago Seyboth Wild was expected to make a deep run at the tournament. However, Hugo Dellien ousted him 6-4, 2-6, 6-3. Qualifier Fecundo Bagnis defeated the wildcard Juan Manuel Cerundolo, 6-4, 6-2, in straight sets.
