Novak Djokovic has attained the age of 35 and his achievement numbers run in a parallel inclination to his age, surprisingly increasing with each year.
The Serbian has amassed a mammoth total of 22 Grand Slam titles to his name and seems in no mood to stop his run there. Nole recently lay hands on his record 10th Australian Open crown after defeating Greek tennis professional Stefanos Tsitsipas in a breathtaking final at the Rod Laver Arena.
Although Novak did not drop a single set to victor himself as the champion, the 3-setter match, however, was intense following the final two sets ending in a tie-break. Stefanos after losing to the Serb now has a 0-2 Grand Slam final count against him, with his previous defeat against Novak registered at the 2021 French Open final.

Amidst the victory, The Joker now tallies his total count of Grand Slam titles tied up with Spaniard tennis star Rafael Nadal, who holds the same number of titles under his belt. Nadal was the defending champion at the Australian Open this season but unfortunately lost in the early round of the championship due to a potential reoccurrence of a hip injury.
The injury also gave rise to wild speculations amongst the tennis community that Rafa would now be considering a retirement possibility knowing his body cannot cope with such high pressure at the age of 36.
Novak Djokovic throughout the slam was also cornered with concerns about engaging a hamstring injury he claimed was taking a toll on him with every step he advanced in the tournament. Luckily for the Serb, his injury concerns did not end his run at the championship and his retirement plans might be aligned with Nadal’s future in the game.

It is no surprise that both Novak Djokovic and Nadal have been chasing Margaret Court’s record of 24 Grand Slam titles and have already left an impressive milestone for the younger generation to hunt for years to come.
It is estimated that Novak might call in his retirement chit after taking over Margaret’s record and the same might be proved for the Spaniard as both the professionals are now in a neck-deep battle for laying claim to a new record.

Ivan upon being asked whether Novak can continue competing at the top quoted saying, “Definitely two, three more years. The way he’s taking care of his body, the way he approaches everything, the food, it’s amazing. It’s unbelievable the level.”
Goran’s statement certainly carries weight to it considering Nole’s outstanding performance at the Melbourne slam and the Serb will hopefully continue to cherish his upcoming victories and enable the crowd and his fans with joyous moments in an awe of his performance.
