On December 10th, 2016, Alexis decided that he would ask Serena to marry her in the same hotel they crossed paths with each other for the first time.
After instructing the hotel management to decorate the restaurant with flowers, Ohanian told Serena about the first time they met and seated at that table together. After expressing his gratitude and love for her, Alexis got down on one knee and proposed.
