Teófimo López and George Kambosos will go against each other at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday, November 27. López will defend his unbeaten unified WBA, IBF, and WBO lightweight championship against undefeated challenger kambosos.
López(16-0) won the vacant WBA, WBC, and IBF lightweight titles by defeating Mason Menard via KO in the same venue, Hulu Theater in the year 2018. After that López has successfully defended his titles on four different occasions.
His last ring appearance was against Vasiliy Lomanchenko last year where he also won the WBA (super), WBO, and The Ring lightweight titles. The American would be looking forward to remaining undefeated and continuing his domination in the lightweight division.
Kambosos (19-0) is a former Australian WBA-PABA and WBA Oceania lightweight Champion and coming into the fight undefeated. His last fight was against Lee Selby last year which he won via split decision. It is an opportunity of a lifetime for the Australian to step up and show his best game to defeat López and become the new unified champion.
