Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley turned out to be quite a fight as YouTuber turned professional boxer took on the former UFC’s welterweight champion in a right-round headliner in Cleveland, Ohio. After months of intense build-up, it was Jake Paul who emerged victorious against the former champion with a split decision victory to his name.

The fight got the attention of Stockton Slugger Nate Diaz, who ridiculed both the fighters. Diaz and Paul have had back and forth on social media on one occasion. The YouTuber has expressed his desire to face the UFC star on several occasions now.

 

“Another loser, talking up. Of course he wants a payday. Thank you for the attention. Thank you for watching me. I appreciate it, fanboy.” Jake Paul said on Diaz’s tweet.

Jake Paul dominated Tyron Woodley for the better part of the entire bout, landing several uppercuts and right hands on the former champion. While Paul quite clearly won the fight, there was a moment in the fight where was in trouble after eating a vicious left hook from Woodley. Paul fumbled on the rings, making his way out of the danger zone against a charging Tyron Woodley in the fourth round of the bout.

 

However, fans took to Twitter and called the entire sequence “rigged.” They also accused Tyron Woodley of not finishing the bout when he had the chance and claimed that the former UFC welterweight champion threw the fight away. Earlier, Woodley’s nemesis Colby Covington had claimed that Woodley is just going into the bout for a paycheck.

Jake Paul beat Tyron Woodley via a split decision to emerge victoriously. While there is a possibility of a rematch, everything seems to be pointing at a super-fight against Tommy Fury

It will be interesting to see what lies ahead of Jake Paul in his professional boxing career. While a fight with Nate Diaz seems far-fetched, anything is a possibility in this world of combat sports.
