Ricochet has been the most discussed name from the WWE roster in the last few days due to the latest developments around his career. The One and Only sent a notice to the company sharing his plans to renew his contract once it expires in the summer. Amid this, the latest episode of RAW was considered to be his last appearance for the company.
On the June 10 edition of Monday Night RAW, Ricochet was seen helping Ilja Dragunov walking down backstage after the latter was defeated by Bron Breakker on the 3-hour-long show. But, as the 35-year-old was doing so, Bron attacked them by spearing Ilja, but as The One and Only tried to save Dragunov, he faced a lot of damage at the hands of Breakker.

The 5-foot-9 was not just assaulted, this move by Stamford-based promotion left fans with a lot of questions. In fact, WWE made sure to not leave Ricochet without a cliffhanger, as the brutal attack by Breakker leaves him with the objective of taking revenge from the former NXT star. But, the fans are still sure that he’s not going to return to the organization now.
Talking about the same, an audience member said, “Bro will not come back.” “Why would he take that bump my god,” someone commented while asking about why he agreed to take such an assault in his last appearance. “Bro that fall on the concrete tho,” a wrestling enthusiast wrote while pointing out a particular moment from the attack on RAW. In addition to the fans’ reactions, another thing that shows how brutal the attack was is Samantha Irvin’s reaction. The female figure was spotted running towards the backstage when Ricochet was being taken out of the arena in an ambulance, and it showcases how WWE did a great job of writing The Only and Only off TV after his last appearance.
Bron Breakker becomes a bigger talking point in Ricochet’s last appearance
Ricochet’s last appearance ended up being a bad one for The One and Only due to the damage he took, but it wasn’t the same for Bron. In fact, Bron Breakker has become a bigger talking point in the professional wrestling world due to the way he attacked Ricochet on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW.

The way WWE booked this entire segment also showcased how invested they are in making the next big thing in the company. As Breakker is being booked similarly to how Brock Lesnar was handled in his initial years in the promotion, the audience believes that he’s destined for greatness. And, how things panned out on June 10 hints that he’s set to reach the top of the men’s division sooner than expected.
Ricochet could be signing with AEW after his WWE contract expires
While Bron Breakker got a lot of attention for what he did on Monday Night RAW, another thing that the fans have been talking about is The One and Only’s future. Even though there are a lot of options, the theory going around the community is that Ricochet could be signing with AEW after his WWE contract expires.
A big reason behind this speculation is Will Ospreay’s recent comments about the 5-foot-9 performer, as he shared his wish to fight Ricochet in All Elite Wrestling. If they want this to become a reality, Ricochet signing with AEW is the move. Another thing that makes this a possibility is Tony Khan’s habit of signing top free agents to his company. As he has done it previously too, it won’t be surprising to see him do it once again.

Amid all these aspects, it’s highly possible that Ricochet might end up joining the Jacksonville-based promotion in the summer. If that actually happens, there would be a lot of interesting storylines waiting for The One and Only in AEW. But, it all depends on what the former US champ decides to do once his contract with WWE ends.
