Nick Kyrgios is in the news mostly for the wrong reasons. Either he is causing a stir among the fans by his eccentric behaviour or giving out controversial statements in the press conferences.
He recently brought in sushi while giving a press conference and agreed to spit in the direction of unruly fans. However, his conduct is nowhere indicative of his performances on the tennis court.
Nick has always been a very strong player on the grass surface, and many argue that he may even be content for the Wimbledon title with Djokovic and Nadal. His recent performance in the second round against Filip Krajinovic proved why Nick is a dangerous player on the grass surface.
It took Nick just 84 minutes to end Filip’s misery in this one-sided clash. On one side there are the greats of the sport struggling to win their first-round fixtures and on the other hand, there is Nick who has been breezing past his opponents.
Nick Kyrgios mentioned that he feels that the Wimbledon would be his best chance of winning a grand slam title, especially now after he displayed a dominating performance in round 2. His round 2 performance is in complete contrast to what his first-round match was.
It took Nick five sets in what could surely be considered a turbulent match to progress into the next round.
Nick Kyrgios fires a warning toward Djokovic and Nadal after his win
After his second-round win in what was a dominating display, Nick was oozing confidence and in the post-match conference he stated,
This is just ridiculous from Kyrgios tbh.
My god.

“I just wanted to remind everyone that I’m pretty good.”
“I’ve been working hard and as I said, I’ve been preparing for this tournament. It’s been circled on my calendar pretty much all year and I’m so excited to be here again.
“It’s genuinely a tournament that I think is my best chance to win a Grand Slam out of all the four. I’ll keep taking it match by match. I’ve obviously got an incredibly tough draw still.”
24 aces, 49 winners and only 3 points dropped on his first serve 🤯@NickKyrgios moves past No.26 seed Krajinovic 6-2 6-3 6-1 to reach the third round.

The 27-year-old Australian did not drop a single point in his own serve as he rapidly moved 1-0 up in the points tally. The second point was also followed by a dominant display and Nick was two sets up even without 60 mins past the game. Nick won 93 per cent of points on his first serve while he hit 50 winners.
