Roman Reigns is currently on a long unbeaten run in singles competition. The Tribal Chief’s last clean pinfall loss occurred in 2019 when he lost to Baron Corbin. Superstars like Sami Zayn, Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar came close to dethroning Reigns but they failed to get the job done.
After overcoming Sami Zayn at Montreal, Reigns now has a clear path to the main event of WrestleMania 39. The Head of the Table will face The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at the show. The match is one of the most anticipated ones after Rhodes made the jump from AEW last year.

WWE legend Ric Flair recently on his “To Be The Man” podcast previewed the WWE’s WrestleMania headliner. Flair said that he would love to see Cody dethrone Reigns and become the new top champion of the company. He also admitted that he won’t have any issues if Reigns retains.
“I think Cody deserves it, but Roman has done such an outstanding job that if they leave it on Roman, more power to him. Sometimes they don’t wanna take the momentum off something that’s working so well, so people can be deceived by that too. But I wanna see [Cody win] because that’s the one chip, as Cody would say, that his dad never got.” Flair said. (h/t: Sportskeeda Wrestling)
Ric Flair has a history with Cody’s father Dusty Rhodes as both stars have had several matches back in the 70s and 80s.
Sami Zayn set to be added to the Reigns vs Rhodes match at WrestleMania 39?
Sami Zayn’s inclusion into the World title match at WrestleMania 39 is a major topic of discussion among fans. The former Honorary Uce of the Bloodline was screwed over by Reigns at Elimination Chamber in front of his family. Due to the massive popularity Zayn has, there were rumors that he will be the one to dethrone Reigns.

Ric Flair spoke about WWE potentially adding Zayn into the mix on his podcast. Flair admitted that he is not a big fan of triple-threat matches.
“I’ve seen some and they [triple threat matches] can be really good, but it’s not nearly as meaningful, especially in a three-way if the champion doesn’t get beat. To me, that’s not really changing a title. If you beat the third guy, then what are you doing? You didn’t beat the champ.” Flair said.
WWE is reportedly “concerned” about Sami Zayn’s popularity heading into this year’s WrestleMania and has designed segments to ensure there is no chance for fans to chant for Zayn, which could hurt Cody Rhodes’ momentum.

It looks like the company is not planning to add Zayn to the World Championship picture anytime soon. Zayn is expected to team up with his best friend Kevin Owens and face The Usos at the Grandest Stage of Them All for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships.
