Where did it go wrong for the champion?
Emma Raducanu came in with high hopes. The fans also expected one hell of a shoe from the British player considering the fact that she performed so well at the recently concluded US Open. But things did not go well for the player. She was defeated by a scoreline of 6-2, 6-4. Her opponent did not give her a chance whatsoever to make a comeback.

The player from Belarus was clearly seen dominating the match from the start till the end. Sasnovich won a total of 64 points as compared to Emma’s 51. Also, the Belarus player won 36 points in service as compared to Raducanu’s 26. This clearly shows the dominance the player possessed throughout the match.

After suffering an unexpected defeat in the first round of the Indian Wells, the player will now no longer be able to compete in the tournament.
