Speaking to his good friend Mike Swick, White revealed his thoughts on Nick Diaz and looked back at the infamous incident where Nick Diaz missed the highly anticipated press conference in the lead-up to his fight against Georges St-Pierre.
“You know, it depends on the person. I don’t ever expect fighters to be perfect. I expect them to be as professional as they can be. By professional I mean, making weight, showing up on time on the stuff that we have to do. But, on the flip side, there are so many different guys, there are so many different personalities that I might not love that they necessarily do, but the fans do.”
“The Diaz brothers, their anti-authority, and stuff like that, these used to drive me crazy when I was younger. Look at what it turned them into. They are huge superstars. At the end of the day, they are quirky in their ways, but they are really not bad guys. They are not really hard to deal with.”
