It won’t be wrong to say that Priscila Cachoeira’s attempt to gauge into Robertson’s eyes, not just once but twice looked intentional. The commentators present for UFC 269, Joe Rogan, Daniel Cormier, and Jon Anik, collectively called out Priscila Cachoeirafor trying to cheat her way out of the hold.
Joe Rogan brought it up during the post-fight Octagon interview and did not hold back as he called Priscila Cachoeira’s attempt a “dirty” move.
Priscila Cachoeira tries to cheat in her fight against Gillian Robertson
While there’s no denying the “dirty” work from Priscila Cachoeira, a case can be made that Priscila Cachoeira’s move was out of desperation.
A lot of times in the past, we have seen UFC fighters hold onto other fighters’ gloves, often trying to intentionally eye-poke their rivals to gain an advantage, and grabbing of the cage which comes out almost naturally for a lot of fighters.
While Priscila Cachoeira is completely responsible for her action, to label her as a cheater certainly crosses the line.
