Tokyo Olympics 2020 Gold Medal Matchup: Team USA vs France

Date: 6th August 2021

Time: 10:30 PM (ET)

The Tokyo Olympics 2020 Men’s basketball has been an amazing journey. Every team came out, putting their best foot forward. There were two semi-final games that took place. One was between the Star-Studded Team USA and Australia. The second was between Luka Doncic led Slovenia and France.

Two teams, Australia and Slovenia will face off for the Bronze Medal. USA and France on the other hand will go head to head for the Gold.

Team USA VS France: Tokyo Olympics 2020 Gold Medal Match Prediction

Team USA has a roster filled with NBA stars. They have Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, and even the young forces of Devin Booker and Jayson Tatum. The addition of the recently crowned NBA Champions, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday has also helped Team USA.

In their semi-final game, they went up against Australia and won the game 97-78. Kevin Durant was the star of the game. He put up 23 points and 9 rebounds.

France won a thriller against Slovenia. Both teams put up a show and had fans at the edge of their seats right until the very end. Luka Doncic has lost his first game in a Slovenian jersey as France beat them 90-89. For France, Nando De Colo put up 25 points, and Evan Fournier put up 23. Although Slovenia won’t get a chance to win Gold they definitely have won the hearts of basketball fans.

Both these teams are truly deserving but when it comes to who will take it all home, the safest bet to place is on Team USA. The Kevin Durant-led squad has bounced back hard on both ends of the court. The team did have a few problems at the beginning of their Olympic Campaign but right now they are looking menacing and are favoured to bring home the Gold Medal once again.
