Tyson Fury sent out a tweet following Billy Joe Saunders’ loss against Canelo Alvarez for the unified super-middleweight championship. Billy Joe Saunders suffered the first loss of his boxing career after suffering what is believed to be a fractured orbital bone against Canelo Alvarez inside AT&T Stadium in Texas.
While Canelo Alvarez was the favorite going into the bout, Billy Joe Saunder put up an incredible performance and certainly left the ring with more fans. However, he was also criticized for quitting, which feels wrong considering if it does turn out to be a fractured orbital bone, Billy Joe Saunders made the right decision to not take additional damage.
we thank god for everything and everyone around us, after a great week in Texas with @bjsaunders_ we now keep on moving forward in this journey through life, “In God we trust” @tommytntfury pic.twitter.com/lf0u9YfsCM

Tyson Fury had shown great confidence in his good friend Billy Joe Saunder ahead of the fight and claimed that BJS could well be the one to hand a loss to Canelo Alvarez. Tyson Fury announced his next move, teaming up with up-and-coming and arguably the brightest prospect right now, Tommy Fury. Needless to say, BJS looked incredible against Alvarez, particularly in the later rounds before getting finished in the eighth round.

Later, Fury once again took to social media and expressed his thoughts on Billy Joe Saunders after his incredible performance against Canelo Alvarez. “He will always be my bro” – Fury captioned.
The friendship between Billy Joe Saunders and Tyson Fury goes a really long time. Both the boxers have shown incredible support towards each other, with Joe Saunders making headlines for placing an insane amount of money on Fury during his first encounter with Deontay Wilder.
What’s next for Tyson Fury?
Billy Joe Saunders still has a great career ahead of him. Needless to say, Canelo’s power was on display and BJS tasted the best of it, particularly in the eighth round as a brutal right uppercut straight to his eye possibly broke his orbital bone. Canelo in the post-fight interview stated that he felt the bone crack under his hand and felt like he broke Saunders’ chin. There has been no statement from Saunders’ team, and it looks like we will have to wait to find out the official confirmation.
Tyson Fury’s half-brother Tommy Fury is currently 5-0 in his professional career. The light-heavyweight boxer will look to cement his position in the division as he goes forward in his boxing career. On the other hand, Tyson Fury is expected to face Anthony Joshua for the undisputed heavyweight championship later this year.
Meanwhile, Canelo Alvarez will look to unify his super-middleweight championship against Caleb Plant next. There are a bunch of great fights set to go down later this year, and needless to say, it couldn’t have been better for boxing fans around the world.
