Deontay Wilder will take on WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in a trilogy fight on October 9 in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Fury and Wilder have a fierce rivalry which makes this fight interesting. In addition to that, both the fighters are great showmen and are known to back their trash talk.
Speaking about this epic rivalry, Wilder and Fury faced off against each other in a brutal 12 round war in 2018. In the end, the judges declared this fight a split decision draw. Two years later a rematch between Wilder and Fury took place. In this rematch, the British fighter completely dominated Wilder and landed severe shots. Fury’s punches caused a lot of damage to Wilder. Consequently, Deontay’s corner threw in the towel in the seventh round which resulted in a Fury win.
Coming to this trilogy bout, the Gypsy King’s will be defending his belt for the first time after earning a victory over Wilder via TKO in their rematch in February 2020. Meanwhile, The Bronze Bomber will come into this fight with vengeance on his mind as he aims to hand Tyson Fury his first-ever ever professional defeat in boxing.
