Cormier entered the octagon in all hopes of ending his MMA career with win over Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic. The headliner of UFC 252 served as the greatest match in the history of the heavyweight division as both Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic locked horns inside the octagon. The whole world was watching closely with the battle being a decider for the greatest heavyweight fighter of all time. Cormier fell short after Stipe Miocic put up an incredible performance against the former Champion.

Jon Jones was quite active throughout the UFC 252 card. However, tweets started to pour more after Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier stepped inside the octagon. Soon after Stipe’s win, Jon Jones expressed his interest to face the UFC Heavyweight Champion.

Jon Jones complimented Daniel Cormier for his incredible performance in the first round. Cormier won the first round in the eyes of many fights fans and UFC fighters. However, he failed to keep the same momentum going forward.

There was a point in the fight where Daniel Cormier accidentally caused an eye poke. It was looking as if Miocic would be compromised for the remainder of the fight. However, as fate would have it, an accidental eye poke caused brutal damage to Cormier’s right eye.

Despite almost no vision in his right eye, Daniel Cormier fought a valiant fight against someone as credible as Stipe Miocic. Jon Jones called Cormier as a warrior for fighting the way he did despite being hugely compromised in the fight.
