UFC 271: Adesanya vs Whittaker 2 took place today at the Toyota Honda Center in Houston, Texas. Consequently, fans came in large numbers to witness superstars like Israel Adesanya, Robert Whittaker, Derrick Lewis and Tai Tuivasa compete inside the octagon.

According to the announcement during the PPV, 17, 872 fans were present at the Toyota Center. Also, this is the highest ever attendance in Houston, Texas, if we take a look at the previous UFC events that took place at the Toyota Center.

Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker’s fight purse for the rematch at UFC 271
The Last Stylebender recently signed a new contract with the UFC which made him one of the highest earners in the MMA promotion. As per an Instagram post by Fight Club, the UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya earned an estimated $1.5 million for his main event unanimous decision win against Robert Whittaker.

Meanwhile, The Reaper walked away with $632,000 at UFC 271. Two fighters on the card received the performance of the night bonus for showing their extraordinary skills. Australian heavyweight Tai Tuivasa won the $50,000 performance bonus for his splendid second round KO/TKO win over third-ranked contender Derrick Lewis in the co-main event of the PPV.
Jared Cannonier also earned the performance bonus after he displayed a remarkable turnaround in the second round to finish Derek Brunson in emphatic fashion. Apart from these two superstars, rising bantamweight contenders Douglas Silva de Andrade and Sergey Morozov picked up the $50,000 reward for the “Fight of the Night” at UFC 271.
This early prelim fight was an intense battle where both fighters displayed incredible grit and determination. In the end, Andrade came out on top as he won the fight via submission in the second round of the fight.
