Fight Breakdown
Billy Quarantillo is a very dangerous striker who uses hard kicks and fast combinations. Moreover, he is also a threat on the ground. Quarantillo uses pressure to overwhelm his opponents and always looks for a way to deliver lethal combos followed by strong leg kicks.
Apart from his powerful strikes and impressive cardio, he is also a dominant grappler. He has one submission win in his UFC career but the key to winning this bout is his slick striking. Quarantillo should not have much difficulty in a standup game but his opponent is also very tough and a similar striker.
Alexander Hernandez has poor grappling but his striking is phenomenal. Like Quarantillo, he also uses a powerful forward style and solid combinations to chop down his opponents. Hernandez’s choice of utilizing powerful leg kicks and straight shots is an important aspect of this matchup.
Moreover, Hernandez has fought fighters like Donald Cerrone, Beneil Dariush, and more. However, his UFC career is like a rollercoaster because he wins a fight dominantly but will look like a sloppy fighter and lose the next fight. Hernandez loses in the grappling department in this matchup but has good takedown defense.

This fight will be a banger as both of the fighters are phenomenal strikers and pressure their opponents. Both of them will have their moments but Quarantillo’s ground skills might cause problems for Hernandez.
I believe both Quarantillo and Hernandez will start fighting aggressively from the first round but the former’s slick boxing and superior wrestling will overwhelm the latter. In the end, Hernandez’s defense on both feet and ground will play an important role, but Quarantillo outpoints him to win this bout.
