Derek Brunson leaves UFC fans in spills after his hilarious tweet surrounding Paddy Pimblett’s controversial decision win over Jared Gordon at UFC 282. The UFC middleweight did not mince words as he joked about James Krause’s alleged involvement in Pimblett‘s victory at UFC 282.
Needless to say, the tweet from Brunson was just meant as a joke. Brunson’s timing, however, was impeccable. James Krause, known for hosting a podcast and a Discord channel to offer advice on betting, other than being a coach, has received huge criticism from UFC fans for his alleged involvement.
The refs on that discord chat . They know damn well my boy Paddy didn’t win that 😂😂😂 #UFC282

In the wake of the ongoing investigation into UFC fights being rigged, Brunson’s tweet couldn’t have come at a better time. It all started after UFC featherweights Darrick Minner and Shayilan Nuerdanbieke’s fight in November saw huge changes in the betting lines just an hour before the fight.
Minner, who trained under James Krause at the time, came under severe scrutiny, with UFC deciding to sack James Krause from cornering any fighter in the UFC. After Ontario Commission banned bets on UFC fights, Dana White went on a step ahead, making clear the decision was in light of James Krause, by banning every fighter from the Octagon if they continue to train under James Krause.
Was Paddy Pimblett vs Jared Gordon fixed?
It’s a different story if the fighter decides to enter the fight injured, or decides to not engage in order to manipulate the outcome of the fight, but another if the controversy revolves around how the fight was scored in a fight where both the fighters delivered. Paddy Pimblett vs Jared Gordon was a case of “horrible” judging.
Moreover, judges aren’t selected by the UFC, but assigned by the commission. So to even say that the UFC had anything to do with how the result turned out would be without any facts or logic. However, this hasn’t avoided fans and fighters from speculating that “there’s an obvious agenda” being Pimblett beating Gordon at UFC 282.
