The UFC is finally making its return to Rio De Janeiro. UFC 283 promises to be one of the most stacked cards in recent history and fans cannot wait for fight week to begin.
The main event of the night will be a light heavyweight showdown between former champ Glover Teixeira and #7 ranked Jamahal Hill. The pair will step into the Octagon and attempt to undo the wrongs of UFC 282’s main event.

Previously, Jiri Prochazka was meant to make his first title defense against Jan Blachowicz. However, due to an unfortunate shoulder injury, Prochazka pulled out of the bout. As such, Blachowicz took on the #3 ranked Magomed Ankalaev and delivered a snooze-fest for the ages. Thus, Teixeira vs Hill will now determine who is the best light heavyweight on the planet.
In the co-main event, flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo will take on interim champ Brandon Moreno for the fourth time. Additionally, we have Gilbert Burns taking on Neil Magny, Lauren Murphy vs. Jessica Andrade, and Paul Craig vs. Johnny Walker. That sums up the main card on January 21.
Unfortunately, due to unknown reasons, there will be no pre-fight Press Conference for UFC 283. However, with an event as big as this one, fans will be delighted to know that there are plenty more events for them. If you’re lucky enough to be in Rio De Janeiro, be sure to check these events out!
