UFC 296 is set to take place on December 16, 2023, at the vibrant T-Mobile Arena situated in Paradise, Nevada. With a thriller of a main event, Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington will be challenging Welterweight Champion Leon ‘Rocky’ Edwards for the UFC Gold. In the co-main event, Alexandre Pantoja will defend the Flyweight title against Brandon Royval.
Being the last event for 2023, UFC seems to have gone all out to create one of the most stacked cards of the year. Including future Hall of Famers Stephen Thompson and Tony Ferguson taking on young and hungry fighters Shavkat Rakhmonov and Paddy Pimblett, respectively.

Another highlight of the event would be the walkout songs being played for the fighters. Let’s have a look at previous songs being used by the UFC 296 roster.
Which songs have Leon Edwards and Colby Covington walked out to?
The Welterweight Champ with a record of 21-3 has been consistent in his music preference, just like his 11-fight win streak. He might be walking out to ‘Shabba Madda Pot’ by artist Dexta Daps. He has been using the song during his iconic victory and defense against former Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman during UFC 278 and 286 as well as during his UFC 263 walkout against Nate Diaz.
The UFC Fighter walked out to ‘Grinding All My Life’ by Nipsey Hussle against Rafael dos Anjos at UFC on ESPN: dos Anjos vs. Edwards. For his first bout against Usman at UFC on Fox 17, he used ‘The Rain’ by DMX for his walkout.
His opponent, Colby Covington, has a record of 17 wins and 3 losses. The wrestler might use WWE legend Kurt Angle’s ‘Medal’ by Jim Johnston. Which he used during UFC 272 and UFC 245. This has been an iconic theme to his all-American gimmick and has also been liked by Kurt himself. During his debut against Anying Wang at UFC Fight Night 48, the Welterweight used ‘Ain’t Talkin’ ’bout Love‘ by Van Halen.
Which songs have Alexandre Pantoja, Brandon Royval and others walked out to?
Flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja, who holds a record of 26-5, will be making his first title defense. His last bout was against Brandon Moreno at UFC 290. The walkout music he used before his victory was ‘Many Men’ by rapper 50 Cent, also used at UFC 277. While his challenger Brandon Royval at 15-6 might be walking to ‘Shimmy Shimmy Ya’ by Ol’ Dirty Bastard like his previous entrances
Other walkout songs used by the fighters include ÜLKENDER (Tau Adam) by Machenskii for welterweight Shavkat Rakhmonov, who would be looking to maintain his perfect win record at 17 without any losses. He would be going against seasoned striker Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson with a record of 17-6-1. Thompson might be walking out to ‘Wonderboy’ by artist Tenacious D. He also used it during his last fight against Tom Holland as well as at UFC 264.
Tony Ferguson would be looking to make a comeback after a six-fight losing streak. Currently, Ferguson has a record of 26 wins and 9 losses. The future Hall of Famer has previously used ‘The Party Has Just Begun’ by Freestyle at UFC 291.
His opponent, the young UFC prospect Paddy Pimblett, would be looking for a dominant victory after a controversial unanimous decision win over Jared Gordon at UFC 282. Pimblett has previously used a mixture of ‘Lethal Industry’ by Tiësto and ‘Heads Will Roll’ by Yeah Yeah Yeahs against Jordan Leavitt at UFC Fight Night 208.
The card has a lot of depth and can be one of the best of the year. We hope the event delivers on its promise, with Champions, Legends, and Young Blood all coming together for UFC 296 in Nevada. With that, do let us know in the comments which songs the fighters might walk out to.
