SUMMARY
- Bellator's phenom, Michael Venom Page, makes his much-anticipated UFC debut against Kevin Holland.
- UFC fans cannot underestimate MVP despite Kevin Holland's experience against high level opponents.
Former Bellator champion and one of the biggest stars outside of UFC, Michael Venom Page, is finally here. MVP’s UFC debut is one of the most anticipated fights on the UFC 299 card and rightfully so.
Michael Venom Page has a record of 21 wins and 2 losses in his MMA career. However, fans don’t give him enough credit for his wins because of the level of competition between UFC and Bellator fighters. However, he is certainly a big threat to Kevin Holland, who is coming off a loss to Jack Della Maddalena.
Sadly, Kevin Holland has been inconsistent throughout his MMA career. In his last 5 fights, Holland has lost 3 times. And even though he has lost to high-ranked UFC fighters, his game plans in the octagon have not been the best. However, it’s needless to say that Holland has faced way tougher opponents compared to MVP. So who will get the job done at UFC 299?

However, Holland has lost every crucial fight that would have gotten him very close to a potential title shot. He lost to Marvin Vettori and Derek Brunson when they were top-ranked middleweights in UFC. He also lost to JDM, Khamzat Chimaev, and Stephen Thompson in the welterweight division.

On the other hand, MVP’s biggest win came against former UFC fighter Douglas Lima in the rematch. MVP is well known for his viral KOs and flashy fighting style. However, his fight IQ and distance management are certainly underrated by many fans. Besides that, MVP has a solid ground game, which can be helpful against Kevin Holland.
UFC Fighters Predict Kevin Holland vs. Michael Venom Page
UFC lightweight Renato Moicano gave his honest verdict on this UFC vs Bellator matchup and got brutally honest on MVP’s career: “I like Michael Venom Page but in reality, he faced a lot of unskilled fighters”.
Even though Money Moicano praised MVP for his striking, the UFC lightweight leaned toward Kevin Holland to get the job done. However, former UFC fighter and analyst Dan Hardy picked MVP to finish Kevin Holland inside the first two rounds.
Former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker predicted that we wouldn’t see a lot of action in this fight. However, Whittaker picked Kevin Holland to beat MVP, who does not have a lot of experience against high-level opponents.
Former UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, however, picked Michael Venom Page to finish Kevin Holland at UFC 299.

The biggest narrative out of this matchup is critics claiming MVP has not faced a highly skilled fighter as Kevin Holland has in his UFC career. However, MVP has proven his skillsets time and time again. In his BKFC debut, MVP arguably won the fight against Mike Perry before the fight went into sudden death.
MVP’s performance in BKFC looks extremely impressive considering Eddie Alvarez and Luke Rockhold’s performances against Mike Perry. So it’s safe to say that MVP should be the favorite to win at UFC 299. However, you have to respect Holland’s durability inside the octagon.
