Conor McGregor’s Hollywood debut has been received with mixed reactions from fans and critics. Naturally, his acting has not received the greatest praise. However, the role he played was tailor-made for him as it involved violence and fun.
Through all his years of fame in the UFC, McGregor has shown he is violent and fun. From 13-second knockouts to “Your wife is your husband” comments at the press conference, McGregor enjoys life at full throttle. A franchise that is always at full throttle is the Fast and Furious franchise. Can they provide a home to a new combat sports star making his way into Hollywood? They’ve done it for a few of them.
Dwayne Johnson has had a love-and-hate relationship with the franchise. His character ‘Luke Hobbs’ is well appreciated but seemingly it was not so at the sets. A feud between him and lead star Vin Diesel led to him not appearing in Fast 9. However, after a lot of public conflict, they appeared to sign a peace treaty and join hands for the final movie in the franchise.

Fast X Part II is set to release in 2025. Vin Diesel has claimed it will be the final movie for the franchise. However, Johnson has informed that his character is going to have a spinoff. Could this be Conor McGregor’s entry into the F&F universe?
Conor McGregor is tailormade for the Fast and Furious universe and Dwayne Johnson’s spinoff movie
The character that Conor McGregor just generally is, is tailormade for the F&F universe. The movies involve comedy and action at its extreme and McGregor is all that.
It is unknown if it is too late for him to be introduced to the main franchise. If possible, introducing McGregor as the final villain of the franchise could take it all up a notch. It would give the franchise a blockbuster end and a great entry for McGregor. In case it is too late, a Luke Hobbs spinoff seems like an exciting option.

When Johnson announced his comeback into the franchise, he also announced his character would be receiving a spinoff. Hobbs has already had a movie away from the main F&F universe – Hobbs and Shaw. However, this new spinoff seems to be something ‘The Rock’ negotiated in return for his comeback.
McGregor and Johnson seem to have a good relationship as they have praised each other previously. The Irishman as a villain against Hobbs is not a far shot. It is possible and fans all around the world would love the collab on the big screen.
