Jon Jones has used a fair few different walkout songs for his fights. And in a career that has been as long and illustrious as Jon’s, this makes sense. But now, “Bones” can proudly walk out to the Octagon to a song made especially for him during his UFC 285 heavyweight bout.
On his Instagram page, Jon Jones announced that artist Mike Dome had made a new song for Jones called “God’s Gift.” The post featured a compilation of highlights from Jones’ fights in the light heavyweight division with Dome’s song, “God’s Gift” accompanying it. Mike Dome also wrote the opening track, “Bend The Knee” for Henry Cejudo’s YouTube channel.

Jones captioned the post, “Shout out to my boy @officialmikedome for the dope track: “God’s Gift”. 🔥🔥🔥 #UFC285 #TheReturn 🎥 @1ron4ambition.” Former WWE Superstar and Hollywood megastar, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson commented on the post, writing, “Adding this track to my workout playlist my brother 💪🏾.” And Jones replied to him saying, “@therock I am humbled brother, hope to see you at the fight 🙏🏾.”
“God’s Gift” deals with Jon Jones and everything that has happened during his UFC career. This includes his wins, losses, controversies, and vicious fighting style. With even The Rock’s approval, it’s safe to say, this song perfectly encapsulates many aspects of the once-in-a-lifetime athlete that is Jon “Bones” Jones.
Jon Jones and his UFC walkout songs
As mentioned prior, Jon Jones has used a lot of different songs during his walkouts at UFC events. For the longest time, Jones used to come out to the beats of “God Gave Me Style” by Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent. He even used this song in his last UFC LHW fight against Dominick Reyes at UFC 247.
When he won his first UFC championship against “Shogun” Rua at the young age of 23, Jon Jones made his walkout to the massively acclaimed “Empire State of Mind” by Jay-Z featuring Alicia Keys. In his first title defense against Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Jones used the song, “I’m Coming Home” by Sean “Diddy” Combs and Skylar Grey, for the first time. He last used this song at UFC 197 in 2016.

3 years later, in 2019, Bones came out with the mashup of “We are the Champions” by Queen and “The Champ Is Here” by American rapper Jadakiss. He also used this mashup during his walkout at UFC 235 where he faced Anthony “Lionheart” Smith. Jon also came out to a mashup at UFC 140, using the songs “God Gave Me Style” by 50 Cent and “Beautiful People” by Chris Brown.
Over the years, Bones has mixed and matched his walkout songs. His most used song of his is “God Gave Me Style” by 50 Cent. However, with Mike Dome creating a song specifically for him, that is probably going to change.
