Former UFC champion, Vitor Belfort takes on boxing legend, Evander Holyfield on the next Triller PPV. This fight will mark the return of former heavyweight champion, Evander Holyfield after 10 years.
On the other hand, Vitor Belfort will be trying his luck in the boxing ring after losing his last few fights inside the UFC octagon.
Ahead of the fight, Vitor Belfort’s former opponent, Michael Bisping shared his thoughts on this upcoming boxing matchup. The former UFC middleweight champion criticized Vitor Belfort for cheating by taking PEDs for the upcoming fight against Evander Holyfield.
Bisping even said that he wants Holyfield to beat up Belfort on September 11th. Bisping stated:
“We know Vitor Belfort and everyone knows my feelings for him. He is a drug cheat. He took steroids. And if you look at the physique when he came off of steroids in UFC he looked like s***t. And now he is back on the horse meat because he is looking great again.”
“He is on steroids. He is cheating again and that’s a fact. I hope Evander beats the f**k out of him. I am not gonna go into technical analysis. We know Vitor has good boxing. We knew he was fast, we knew he can pack a punch. Now he is 48 years old and he is not exactly a spring chicken. He got the s**t kicked out of him a few times in UFC when he parted. He is just a piece of s**t. I hope Evander batters him.”
Michael Bisping and Vitor Belfort faced each other in the octagon on UFC on FOX 7 card back in 2013. Going into the fight, there was a heated rivalry between the two. However, the outcome did not go in the favor of Bisping as he got knocked out in the first round.
Is Evander Holyfield in good enough shape for a boxing match against Vitor Belfort?
Vitor Belfort has been a controversial figure in the MMA community. He has tested positive for PEDs multiple times in his UFC career. It’s not a secret that Belfort has been on steroids for the most part of his MMA career.
Michael Bisping is confident that Belfort will be on steroids for his boxing match against Holyfield. But, it might not be possible to confirm Bisping’s claim because it’s very likely that there won’t be any drug testing involved for this fight.
But, will that be enough to beat a former world heavyweight champion in Evander Holyfield?
Holyfield is more skilled and experience when it comes to boxing. Though Belfort can punch and has the power to put his opponents in trouble even with the boxing glove this fight won’t be an easy task for him.
But there is a possibility that Belfort can get the job done against Holyfield. The fans recently witnessed Anderson Silva beat a former boxing champion in a boxing match. And though Holyfield is in incredible shape he has not fought in the last 10 years.
Who do you think will win the fight between Evander Holyfield and Vitor Belfort?
