Former interim UFC champion Colby Covington has recently shared his thoughts on the buzz surrounding the upcoming boxing match between MMA fighter Dillon Danis and popular YouTuber Logan Paul. ‘Chaos’ criticized the highly polarizing ‘El Jefe’ for generating artificial hype to market the fight and confidently predicted an easy win for Paul.
The drama surrounding the much-anticipated showdown between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis on October 14 is getting bigger with each passing day. Over the past few weeks, the duo has engaged in multiple heated exchanges on X (formerly Twitter), with Danis boldly declaring himself the ultimate master of online trash-talking through his brutal verbal jabs.
However, Colby Covington is not ready to give credit to Danis even for that, as he believes that the former Bellator fighter has some ghostwriters doing the job for him behind the screen. He further believes that Jiu-Jitsu champion Danis will be destroyed by Logan Paul inside the boxing ring on October 14.
“Di*do Danis is not a fighter. That guy can’t throw a punch. He literally couldn’t punch his way out of a wet paper bag. He’s just there to get his a** whopped by Logan. I think Logan starches him”. Colby Covington said during an interview with James Lynch.
Colby Covington is set to take on UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards at UFC 296 in December, the promotion’s last PPV event for the year. Following this, ‘Chaos’ is contemplating a jump up to the middleweight division, where he may pursue a title shot against the new champion Sean Strickland for the belt.
Dillon Danis proves Colby Covington right
While Colby Covington loves to go after people and troll them, he might be serious about his prediction for the fight between Danis and Paul, as leaked footage shows Dillon sparring in a gym, and not many are impressed with his skills.
A leaked video has surfaced on X, seemingly showing Danis absorbing significant punches to the face during an open sparring session at his gym. The video was discreetly recorded amid the bustling training activities at the gym, yet fans pointed out Danis in the footage, engaging in sparring with his trainer.

Moreover, his opponent and now strong rival, Logan Paul, did not fail to troll Danis for his average striking and sparring skills. He posted a video on his social media where he reviewed another training footage featuring Danis. With less than a month remaining before their big fight, ‘El Jefe’ would like to work on his striking and sparring, as Logan is an experienced boxer.
