Tyron Woodley has had many great achievements in his MMA career. The Choose One was able to win five UFC welterweight champions before going on a 4 fight losing skid. So it is expected that Woodley has seen the highest of highs and lowest of lows.
Woodley has been the main event of UFC PPVs. So the fans may expect that after being on the top for such a long time Woodley was handsomely rewarded as a champion. But, his next fight purse for the Jake Paul fight is going to be bigger than any of his fight purses.
Tyron Woodley talked about his upcoming boxing debut against Jake Paul on ESPN and stated:
“Easiest fight of my career and biggest purse of my career all in one night. Basically, they brought me in to take out the trash. Can’t wait to shut this b***h up. This is getting done for the culture, the whole MMA/boxing community, to rid this guy of combat sports.”
Tyron Woodley has had some huge fight purses in UFC. The former welterweight champion made $590,000 for his fight against Darren Till, $540,000 for his fight against Stephen Thompson, Demian Maia, and Kamaru Usman. And considering the fact that Ben Askren earned $500,000 for his boxing match against Jake Paul, we can expect Tyron Woodley to earn significantly more than that.

Is Jake Paul the easiest opponent of Tyron Woodley?
Though Woodley might not be wrong about this being the biggest fight of his career in terms of fight purse it might not be the easiest fight. If this was a MMA fight Woodley would have beaten Jake Paul comfortably in round 1. However, this is a boxing match. And fans need to stop calling Jake Paul just a YouTuber. He has over 3 years of training in boxing with access to the best coaches, nutritionists, and other facilities.
He has shown some good skills and impressive KO power, which can be a neutralizer against tougher opponents. With that being said, Woodley should win this fight. Woodley has serious KO power in his right hand and if he connects the overhand right then Jake Paul will be in trouble even with the 10 oz gloves. To be fair, it’s an even fight with Woodley being the favorite because of his experience and power.
