YouTuber turned pro boxer, Jake Paul takes on the former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. This is a huge fight for The Problem Child as Woodley is his toughest opponent so far. His devastating knockout power will certainly trouble Jake Paul in the boxing ring.
However, Jake Paul is already eyeing some huge matchups after the fight with Tyron Woodley. For a long time, Jake Paul has called out Conor McGregor for a boxing fight. However, McGregor has never shown interest in fighting the Paul brothers in the boxing ring. And now it seems Jake Paul is not looking for a fight with McGregor after his two consecutive losses to Dustin Poirier.
Conor McGregor lost to Dustin Poirier twice in 2021. And he even suffered a brutal leg injury in the trilogy.
In a recent interview with MMA Junkie, talking about the recent losses of Conor McGregor, Jake Paul stated:
“Yeah, look he is this guy who was the sh*t for so long and was the center of attention and now his career has plummeted. He has fallen off. He is 1-3 in 5 years and seemed as if people don’t really care. He is disrespectful, you know….there is a point where it’s like ‘bro, you are losing, you look dumb’.. It’s not even that he is being disrespectful, he just looks dumb with the shit he is saying… then he is out, partying, back to drinking, you know, hitting the clubs in LA. I don’t know man. I think it’s over for him and I don’t think his ego can maybe accept that.”
Can Jake Paul beat Conor McGregor in a boxing match?
Conor McGregor is undoubtedly one of the finest boxers in UFC. However, Jake Paul will have a huge weight advantage over Conor McGregor. And this fight will not be similar to Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul as Mayweather is one of the best boxers of all time while McGregor is a multiple-time UFC champion.
Now McGregor will have more experience and he will be more technical against Jake. But the Problem Child can be a huge threat to McGregor, especially in the early rounds.
As the fight progresses McGregor might pick apart Paul as he is the more experienced fighter. But, counting out the Problem Child from this matchup will not be a wise move.
