UFC Fight Night: Alonzo Menifield vs Askar Mozharov Fight Breakdown and Prediction
Alonzo Menifield has an outstanding start to his UFC career as he knocked out his first two opponents inside the first round. However, thereafter his rise in the light heavyweight division has been stagnant due to his three losses in his last five fights.
Interestingly, on the other hand, the 27-year-old light heavyweight prospect Askar Mozharov has come under a lot of scrutiny due to his team falsifying his professional MMA record. Although Mozharov is in scintillating form as he won his last three fights via knockouts in PPC.
With that being said, fight fans could be in for a treat at UFC Vegas 56. Because both these light heavyweights have great knockout power and tend to rely on their striking. Menifield would most likely end up winning this fight if he uses a smart approach. He is potent in striking as well as wrestling, so Alonzo could turn the tide with his ground game if he is unable to dominate the fight on the standup.
However, he tends to expose himself while striking as he gets over-aggressive. If he avoids extending unnecessarily then Atomic would get his hands raised by the referee at UFC Vegas 56.
