Ulberg vs Potieria: Fight Breakdown
As per UFC Stats, Carlos Ulberg lands an obscene 8.27 strikes per minute while absorbing 3.53 strikes. Hence, it is not surprising to learn that Carlos has 5 KO wins among his 7 MMA wins. He has attempted two takedowns in his UFC run so far and has successfully secured both. But, along with a 100% takedown rate, he also has 100% takedown defense as well.
On the other hand, Ihor Potieria has only managed to land 4.72 strikes in the Octagon so far, with a very high absorption rate of 5.45 strikes per minute. He has a mere 33% takedown defense and is yet to secure a takedown in the Octagon. However, he only has 3 fights in the Octagon. So Ihor’s stats are bound to improve massively as he extends his run.

The Ukrainian fighter has a much better MMA record with 19-3 with 8 KO/TKO wins and 7 submission wins. Amongst his 3 losses, Potieria has 2 KO losses, which will work to Ulberg’s advantage. Training with Israel Adesanya has its advantages and Carlos Ulberg will be far sharper in the Octagon. However, if Ihor can finally display his grappling skills, Ulberg will have a tough time. But as things stand, the City Kickboxing fighter will be the favorite.
