Holloway vs Allen: Fight Breakdown
The blockbuster main event at UFC Kansas City will be Allen’s 11th Octagon outing with the promotion. The 29-year-old Brit debuted in the UFC in 2015 and has been on a tear ever since. Arnold has faced the likes of Makwan Amirkhani, Dan Hooker, and Calvin Kattar. A win over Max ‘Blessed‘ Holloway is only going to decorate his resume even further.
As per the UFC stats, Max seems to land an average of a whopping 7.24 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 4.89 strikes in return. Allen, on the other hand, has landed 3.40 significant strikes while taking 2.25 strikes in return. Max clearly has the edge when it comes to the high output. After all, the Hawaiian made a UFC record by landing 445 significant strikes against Kattar.
In terms of their statures, Allen stands at 1.72 m while Max towers over him at 1.80 m. However, in terms of reach, Allen takes the cake away with 177 cm compared to the Hawaiian’s 175 cm. If Holloway puts good head movement on display, he will be able to avoid a lot of power punches from Allen.
Arnold is coming off of a second-round TKO finish over Calvin Kattar back in October. As for Max, the 31-year-old has endured a rough patch in his career during the last few years. Holloway is currently 2-3 in his last five contests and is fresh off of a lopsided defeat to the current champion Alexander Volkanovski.

Max has been in 9 title fights in the promotion and seemingly has a wider experience against straight-up killers. His striking prowess and Octagon experience will certainly play an advantage for him. However, Allen’s last two performances have only gained more faith from fans for him to emerge victorious come Saturday.
