UFC welterweight fighters Miguel Baeza will face Andre Fialho in the upcoming UFC Fight Night card this weekend. The event will feature Vicente Luque vs Belal Muhammad in the main event. While Caio Borralho is set to fight Gadzhi Omargadzhiev in the co-main event.
Miguel Baeza made his UFC debut in 2019. In his debut fight, the ‘Caramel Thunder,’ defeated Hector Aldana via TKO in the second round. He remained unbeaten in both of his next two fights in 2020 as well. However, last year did not go well for him as Baeza lost to both Santiago Ponzinibbio and Kalinn Williams in the two fights he had in 2021.

Andre Fialho on the other hand is coming off a loss himself to Michel Pereira early this year on his debut. However, it was a close fight where Pereira was not able to unleash his wild style of fighting due to Fialho’s good defence. Hence, Andre will look to get his first win in the UFC this Saturday.

UFC Fight Night, Miguel Baeza vs Andre Fialho: Fight Breakdown
Both fighters in this contest like to use their striking more than they like to use their grappling skills. However, Miguel Baeza is an accomplished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) practitioner. He even defeated Takashi Sato via arm-triangle in his last victory. But most of his victories have come via knockouts. As a result, Miguel does not use his grappling that often.

Andre Fialho also does possess wrestling skills himself as well. But similar to Baeza he keeps most of his fights standing and uses kicks to put his opponents in trouble. But it may not work against Miguel Baeza as the Puerto Rican has a height and reach advantage.
The 29-year old is a more dynamic striker than Andre Fialho. Baeza is also more athletic in the Octagon than his opponent on Saturday. Hence his kicks may find the target more often than Fialho. However, Andre also has a good power behind his punches. Hence, fans can expect a great 3 round brawl from the two this weekend.
