UFC Fight Night: Robert Whittaker vs Kelvin Gastelum features a lightweight bout between Luis Pena and Alex Munoz. Luis Pena vs Alex Munoz is an exciting matchup between two up-and-comers in the star-studded lightweight division.

Both Luis Pena and Alex Munoz are solid wrestlers. But, Pena might have an advantage in striking. Both of them are coming from a loss and would be aiming to get back on the winning streak at UFC Vegas 24. But, who will get the job done this Saturday at UFC Apex?

Luis Pena vs Alex Munoz Stats

Luis Pena:
Wins/Losses- 8/3 ( 2 KO, 4 Submission)
Height/Reach- 6 ft 3 inches

Alex Munoz:
Wins/Losses-6/1 9 (2 via KO, 1 Submission)
Height/Reach- 5 ft 9 inches/ 72 inches

UFC Fight Night, Pena vs Munoz Prediction

Though Luis Pena seems to be a clear favorite in this fight it is not going to be an easy win for him. Alex Munoz’s wrestling will be huge trouble for Luis Pena.

Alex Munoz was unbeaten in his MMA career before he took on Nasrat Haqparast, who is a tough opponent in the UFC lightweight division. On the other hand, Luis Pena has been inconsistent with his performance in UFC.

Luis Pena lost his last fight to Khama Worthy where he was forced to tap out. Pena also lost a close fight to Matt Frevola, which could have gone either way.

The big difference between Pena and Munoz is activity. Luis Pena fought three times in 2019 and 2 times in 2020. However, Alex Munoz has fought only once since 2018. And this might play a huge factor in this matchup.

Alex Munoz is a better wrestler. But, Pena should be able to defend himself on the ground against Munoz. Pena has a huge reach advantage and he will be more effective as a striker. For Munoz, the path to victory is relentless wrestling. But, Pena will have to mix it up and keep the fight standing to win the fight.

Considering all the Xs and Os, Luis Pena should be able to get the job done against Alex Munoz. And it’s going to be a decision win for Pena at UFC Vegas 24.
