The UFC returns to ABC this Saturday with Marvin Vettori vs Kevin Holland. The main event which supposed to feature Darren Till and Vettori was put in jeopardy after Till injured himself in training. At the last minute, Kevin ‘Trailblazer” Holland stepped in to save the main event and the card itself. The prelims will air on ESPN and ESPN plus. One of the most exciting fights is in the bantamweight division between promising prospects, Hunter Azure and Jack Shore.
Both Shore and Azure hold incredible resumes of 13-0 and 9-1 respectively so the outcome holds huge consequences for an already star-studded division. Before they step into the octagon let us analyze and break down how this fight may go.
Jack Shore vs Hunter Azure Breakdown.
Coming from the other side of the Atlantic, Jack Shore is a promising young bantamweight who holds an undefeated record. A former Cage Warriors champion, Shore has a creative fight IQ that he backs up with a great punching power for his division. All but one of his victories were finishes with his most recent outing being a rear-naked choke victory over Aron Phillips.
Hunter Azure hails from a wrestling background. He started as an MMA pro aged 24 and has managed to gather an impressive streak of victories. His only loss was to Brian Kelleher via knockout, the bout itself was declared the fight of the night. His most recent outing was in September against Cole Smith, which ended in a UD victory for him.
With both fighters entering their prime, this bout promises to be pure violence. A win for either could mean a top 10 opponent in the waiting. Jack Shore is a seasoned pressure fighter, who thrives when his opponent is backed against the cage. Azure on the other hand is someone who has shown an incredible takedown game in previous organizations. He is precise with his punches that are powerful in their own right and once he takes you to the ground, there is not much you can do about it.
Azure has shown previously that he has no problems lasting the full 15 minutes, however, facing Shore for 15 minutes is a whole different ballgame. A fighter who is equally dangerous on his feet as his back will be a new challenge for Azure and may leave some openings for a submission
