Even though tonight’s UFC Fight Night lost its main event due to unfortunate circumstances so far the fights have been amazing. And the clinical performance from Jalin Turner has made the night even more entertaining.
Jalin Turner took on Brok Weaver in a catchweight fight. This fight was made on only two days’ notice but did not fail to deliver as Turner secured a rear-naked choke after landing a couple of knockdowns.
The first round was all Jalin Turner as he landed the cleaner and more impactful shots. Weaver was in trouble since the beginning as the power and the range of Turner was too much to handle. Though Weaver showed toughness and tried to fight back with his offense Turner was having the bigger moments in the fight.
In the second round, Jalin Turner got Brok Weaver hurt badly and it seemed he was a couple of strikes away from a TKO finish. However, he decided to let Weaver get up so that he could secure a victory in an even more emphatic manner.

Though this left the fight fans confused Jalin Turner seemed confident of himself when he decided to let the fight go for a few more seconds. Turner got the rear-naked choke in the second round and secured the 10th MMA victory of his career.

Jailn Turner is not the only fighter to secure a rear-naked choke tonight
This was not the only finish of the prelims as Sabina Mazo secured a submission win over Justine Kish. The fight was extremely competitive until the final head kick from Mazo.

The gameplan from Sabina Mazo was very clear as she went for the head kicks early in the fight and rightfully so. She has a reach of 70 inches, which is very unusual for a UFC women’s flyweight division. The first round was pretty even until the final moment when Justine Kish secured a takedown. The second round was arguably in favor of Sabina Mazo. But, the judges’ scoring did not come into play as Mazo finished the fight in round 3 with a rear-naked choke.
Later in the night, UFC strawweight, Angela Hill will take on Michelle Waterson in the main event.
