Paddy Pimblett did not let the London crowd down as he submitted Jordan Leavitt in the second round to mark his third straight victory inside the UFC Octagon. Ahead of the match-up, there was a lot of trash-talking from both the fighters, with promises of teabags and twerking getting the most attention.
While many expected Paddy Pimblett to emerge victorious without any sweat, that wasn’t the case at UFC London. Pimblett had a tough first round against a relentless Leavitt, who showed an incredible display of his grappling. However, Pimblett finished the round close, with multiple submission attempts.

Going into the second round, Pimblett once again decided to close the distance with a flurry of shots as Leavitt tried to manage the distance with straight kicks to the body. Be that as it may, Leavitt was able to get hold of Pimblett, and a failed takedown attempt meant Pimblett was able to take advantage, landing a vicious knee to send Leavitt down.

However, Leavitt was able to survive the punches, only to find himself in a rear naked choke moments after. The crowd rose to its feet as Pimblett submitted Jordan Leavitt, seemingly celebrating with the promised “teabag”.

Meanwhile, Aljamain Sterling credited Pimblett’s ability to compromise Leavitt on the ground by trapping his arm during the body triangle, to finally get the rear-naked choke victory.
That arm trap from the back take was nasty! Creative threat from a defensive position on the cage, and big knee to the head. Jordan fought tough and made it interesting. Fun fight and well earned win. Nothing for Jordan to hang his head about. #UFCLondon
