In UFC fights this weekend, lightweight elites collide as Islam Makhachev takes on Thiago Moises in a five-round main event at UFC Vegas 31 inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas. It will be the first main event of Islam’s career, who will look to maintain his seven-fight win streak going against an equally dangerous Thiago Moises who is on a three-fight win-streak.

After failing to acquire a top-10 opponent, #9 ranked Islam Makhachev will take on the #14 ranked Moises and will look to secure his eighth straight win inside the UFC Octagon. The bout will mark Islam’s second outing this year, with his last win coming against Drew Dober back at UFC 259 earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Moises is coming off an incredible performance against Alexander Hernandez in a unanimous decision win back in February of 2021 at UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs Gane.

While the main event is expected to be a banger of an event, the return of Miesha Tate is equally exciting. The former bantamweight champion will return to the Octagon after more than three years since calling retirement from the sport against MMA veteran Marion Reneau in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 31.
