Casey O’Neill is an Australian fighter who currently competes in the UFC’s women’s flyweight division. As a professional mixed martial artist, “King Casey” is undefeated. Casey was sidelined for over a year due to injuries after her win at UFC 271. It came against Roxanne Modafferi who retired after this fight.
Casey’s father, Cam, was a professional kickboxer as well and he had his daughter start kickboxing training at the tender age of 4. She moved from Scotland to Australia six years later where she attended Coombabah State High School. Aged 13, O’Neill began her training in other martial arts such as jiu-jitsu.
At the age of 15, she fought in her first amateur MMA bout, however, she lost that bout in a decisive manner. Eventually, O’Neill made her professional debut in 2019 at EMMA: Eternal MMA 43, winning a title fight against Amira Hafizovic. It was also after her pro debut that she met her longtime boyfriend, Ty Gwerder.
Gwerder, like Casey O’Neill, is a professional mixed martial artist. He currently fights in the middleweight division of the American MMA promotion, Bellator MMA. Gwerder has a 5-3 record in his professional career. However, his Bellator record is worse as he only has one win in 4 bouts. He is also a trainer at Omalza Fitness located in Las Vegas.
Is Casey O’Neill married to Ty Gwerder?
“King Casey” and her beau Ty Gwreder have been dating for quite a long time now. Although it is clear exactly when the two started dating, posts on their social media stretch back quite far back in time. And even now, the two still frequently post pictures together and of each other on their respective social media pages.
Despite the apparent love they have for each other, Ty and Casey are yet to tie the knot. Neither of them commented on getting married to each other either. But they are still going strong with Ty often accompanying Casey to the octagon in her fights with her returning the favor.

In fact, Casey O’Neill was present when Ty Gwerder got knocked out in 12 seconds by Shane Sobnosky at Freedom Fight Night. She got in the octagon to console her boyfriend. However, this moment also led to an online feud with the MMA Guru who clowned Ty and Casey after the KO.
That feud saw Casey call out the internet troll who obviously did not answer it. However, all parties seem to have moved on from this ever since.
