Despite being tiny in stature, global sensation Hasbulla boasts a whopping 8.2 million followers on Instagram alone. Even if you aren’t familiar with the name, chances are you’ve likely seen him on your social media. Hasbulla Magomedov comes from Makhachkala, a city in the republic of Dagestan. The 20-year-old has made quite a huge name for himself in the last couple of years.

The social media star rose to internet fame during the COVID-19 pandemic after his TikTok videos went viral. He became the theme for thousands of memes, reels, and tweets. Fans started referring to the Russian as ‘Mini Khabib‘ after a video of him imitating UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s UFC 229 weigh-in went viral. Hasbulla has regularly created content with him ever since, among other UFC personalities.

The 20-year-old has taken the internet world by storm, courtesy of his stature, appearance, and bold confidence to square up against some of the biggest names in combat sports. Despite bearing an adoring personality, Hasbulla has received flak from several UFC fighters via tweets and interviews. Even the Irish megastar Conor McGregor mentioned him in his now-deleted tweets.

Hasbulla: Nationality and religion

Fans often confused Khabib and Hasbulla to be cousins, and may even perhaps assume the latter’s last name is Nurmagomedov. However, such is not the case. The influencer hails from Dagestan, a republic of Russia in the southernmost portion of the country. His city of Makachkala borders Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Like most Dagestanis, Hasbulla is a devout Muslim. According to a Russian report, the Makhachkala resident’s primary goal doesn’t lie in reaching peak internet fame. Rather, it is to become an ‘Alim’, a term used for Islamic scholars. He actively studies the holy book o Quran. In April 2022, Magomedov performed the umrah pilgrimage in the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia. He even posted a picture while standing in front of the Kaaba.

Hasbulla’s height and medical condition

As per reports, the 20-year-old is 3 feet and 4 inches. The most typical cases of Dwarfism have displayed an average adult height of up to 4 feet. Reports also claim him to be 35 lbs in weight. Hasbulla’s unusual attributes are the result of Dwarfism, or in scientific terms, Growth Hormone Deficiency. This has caused many people to assume he is of a much younger age than he is.

GHD is a rare medical condition denoted by the insufficient secretion of growth hormones from the anterior pituitary gland. This results in unusually short statures while the other body proportions remain normal. Individuals suffering from this condition suffer anxiety and depression among other things. However, the 20-year-old TikTok star uses this condition to showcase humor and confidence.

One such notable star that was once affected by this medical condition is Lionel Messi. The Argentinian player was diagnosed with GHD at the mere age of 11. Fortunately, he was able to dial down its intensity by receiving HGH (Human Growth Hormone) injections on time. It is worth mentioning that HGH is on the banned list of substances in sports.
