Max Holloway is undoubtedly one of the most successful stars currently signed with the UFC. The 31-year-old made his debut in the promotion over a decade ago and has seemed to become a fan favorite through the years. However, behind all the records and shiny belts, the one thing that has kept Holloway straight is a loving and beautiful family.
The former featherweight champion tied the knot with Alessa Quizon, a professional surfer, in 2022. Both Quizon and ‘Blessed’ have frequented social media with pictures and videos of each other, along with Rush, Max’s son from his previous marriage. Outside of his fighting life, Holloway seems quite happy and at ease, thanks to Alessa’s unconditional love.
Just a while ago, Holloway appeared on The MMA Hour alongside the host, Ariel Helwani. The interview happened right before his rubber match with Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 276. The Hawaiian expressed his love toward Alessa and shared how her constant support has kept him focused on his MMA goals.
Max Holloway said, “My wife made my life easier. She took a lot of things off my plate and she just makes it easier. So, all I got to do is go there, focus, do my thing.”
To add to this, Ariel mentioned Alessa’s own busy life as a professional surfer. The 40-year-old journalist questioned the possibility of her making things easier, considering her own busy schedule.
‘Blessed‘ didn’t skip a beat and responded, “That woman! They are amazing. She is amazing. They are like almost superheroes, you know. She does a lot and I am just super grateful for her.”

“A lot of people are scared of surfing. Yeah, there are sharks, but most of the time they’re not actually around to attack you,” said a 20-year-old Quizon in a 2014 interview. “My sister is 10 years older than me and she was going the professional route. I wanted to be just like her.”
In the World Surf League, the Makaha native currently ranks at number 83. As of 2023, Alessa’s net worth stands at a whopping $5 million. At the age of 10, she won her first contest.
