UFC Las Vegas is set to go down this weekend and it will feature a bantamweight super fight in the main event. Merab Dvalishvili will fight the former champ Petr Yan in a crucial fight. The winner will be one of the top contenders for a title shot in the near future. But the card will also feature a rescheduled bout between Nikita Krylov and Ryan Spann.
The bout was going to headline UFC Vegas 70, but it was canceled at the last minute. Megan Olivi broke the news to the fans, as the presenter added that Nikita Krylov had food poisoning. Hence, Krylov had to undergo some treatments to recover from the situation. However, it did not go down well with his opponent.

Ryan Spann was incredibly emotional after the bout got canceled. He appeared before the press and choked up while speaking about losing the opportunity to headline a UFC Fight Night. He made weight and did his part in making the bout happen. Hence, he was obviously disappointed that he did not get to show off the new skills that he and his team worked on.
Although it is not going to be a 5-round main event, the bout will finally take place on the main card of UFC Vegas 70. So who wins in the tussle between no. 6 and the 8th ranked light heavyweight fighters in the UFC? Let’s find out.

Krylov vs Spann: Fight Breakdown
The very first question that the fans need to ask about the fight is whether Nikita Krylov is at his 100% or not. While food poisoning can be very severe at times, there is no word on how badly he suffered because of the illness. However, the moment Nikita steps inside the Octagon, all the focus will be on the fight.

As fans already know, both Krylov and Ryan Spann have striking pedigree behind them. On top of that, both have great grappling skills as well. Ryan Spann has 12 submission wins in his career. After neglecting his training regiment for so long, Spann has finally started taking his career seriously. For example, he lost against Johnny Walker from a winning position.
However, his recent winning streak shows a pattern of improvement. The thunderous KO of Dominick Reyes shows that Spann is getting the job done. But, Nikita Krylov has 12 KOs and 15 submissions himself. So he is not an easy assignment for any fighter in the division. He also has wins over the likes of Alexander Gustafsson, Volkan Oezdemir, and Johnny Walker.

So the bout ultimately comes down to who can withstand the hard punches. Looking at their stats, it appears that Krylov has the better chin. He only has 1 KO loss as opposed to Spann’s 3 KO losses. If the bout goes to the ground, Nikita has more than enough experience in the bank to survive adversity. While he may not be at his best, Nikita Krylov will still enter the bout as a favorite.
