UFC Las Vegas will see elite fighters like Petr Yan, Merab Dvalishvili, and Said Nurmagomedov on the main card. However, there are a lot of exciting fights on the prelims as well. In one such fight, flyweight fighter Tyson Nam is set to go up against Bruno Silva. With both fighters coming off some impressive wins, it is going to be an amazing contest for sure.
Bruno Silva made his UFC debut in October 2019. His debut bout came against Khalid Taha, but unfortunately, it went down as a no-contest in his record. However, it triggered a two-fight losing streak, which came against David Dvořák and Tagir Ulanbekov. But, instead of falling apart, Bruno made a great turnaround. He defeated JP Buys and Victor Rodriguez back to back. Silva now finds himself matched up against Tyson Nam.

However, in his first two fights, Tyson lost to Sergio Pettis and Kai Kara-France. But following that, Nam beat Zarrukh Adashev and Jerome Rivera successively. Tyson Nam is incredibly powerful and his 13 knockout wins are living proof of that. Although he lost 3 fights in the UFC so far, all of them came via the judges’ decision. But he has managed to knock out 3 of his opponents in the Octagon so far. But he also has 1 submission win in his career. As per UFC stats, Tyson has a good average of landing 3.68 strikes per minute. But, he also absorbs 5.66 strikes at the same time as well.

But Bruno Silva’s finishing methods have a variety to them with 5 KOs and 3 submissions. But in his last 2 fights, Silva knocked both of his opponents. Although Tyson Nam does not have a submission loss to his name, the 39-year-old has suffered 3 KO losses in his career. So it does bode well for Bruno Silva, who has an average of 2.98 strikes per minute and lands 2.89 takedowns. But similar to Tyson, Silva also absorbs more damage than he manages to cause.

Both fighters are at a crucial juncture in their respective careers. While Bruno Silva is 32 years of age and is looking to make his way up the rank, Tyson Nam is 39 and perhaps reaching the end of his run. A win here gives Silva the platform to push on even further and try to get on the rankings. However, if he can not beat Nam this weekend, it will speak volumes about his ceiling in the UFC. But Bruno Silva will be the favorite regardless.
