The wait for the UFC’s much-awaited return to London is over! UFC London promises to be one of the biggest fight night cards of the year with some top-tier talents taking the stage. Safe to say, fans visiting the O2 Arena in London, England on July 22 are in for a treat!
Headlining the card, we have the return of one of the best heavyweight prospects in the UFC. Hometown hero, Tom Aspinall marks his return after a lengthy layoff due to injury. Standing before him is an up-and-coming contender in Marcin Tybura who will be looking to break into the Top 5.
As for the co-main, we have Molly McCann taking on Julija Stoliarenko. With a poor showing against Erin Blanchfield, Molly will be looking to get back to winning ways. Also on the main card is Paul Craig making his middleweight debut, and oddly, Bryan Barberena and Ketlen Vieira in the prelims.
Which songs will Tom Aspinall and Marcin Tybura use for UFC London?
Currently #5 in the heavyweight rankings, Aspinall has had an electrifying start to life in the UFC. Collecting five wins in his first five outings, all by finishes, the sky was seemingly the limit for Aspinall. However, an untimely injury during his fight against Curtis Blaydes saw him spend considerable time on the sidelines. Now, he will look to make up for the lost time and hit the ground running as soon as possible.
As for his walkout song, Tom has chosen to walk out to “Move On Up” by Curtis Mayfield for all of his previous fights. Previously Tom has also explained his song choice and how it is a catchy and uplifting tune.
On the other side, we have Marcin Tybura looking to collect his third straight win. As always, Tybura is expected to walk out to “Can’t Stop” by Red Hot Chili Peppers. Having used this song for a long time now, the Polish heavyweight is expected to stick with the same for this fight as well.
What song will Molly McCann walk out to?
One of the home crowd’s favorite fighters, Molly McCann has walked out a number of different tunes in the past. Previously, Molly walked out to the indie song “The Place” by Jamie Webster for her fight against Ji Yeon Kim before switching to the viral rap song “Just Dre” by Dr Dre for her fight against Luana Carolina.
For her fight against Hannah Goldy, ‘Meatball’ Molly went back to her old song, this time walking out to “This Place” by Jamie Webster. Finally, in her last outing against Erin Blanchfield, chose to stick with the same song. As such, it will be interesting to see if Molly sticks or twists with her song choice this time around.
What song will Paul Craig walk out to?
Similar to Molly, Paul Craig also had a tendency of shifting from song to song for his walkout. For his fight against Jamahal Hill at UFC 263, Craig walked out to “Pick You Up” by The Dykeenies. In his next fight against Nikita Krylov, Hill walked out to “Quiet Little Voices” by We Were Promised Jetpacks.
As for his next fight against Volkan Oezdemir, Craig walked out to the same song. However, for his last fight, against Johnny Walker, Craig walked out to “Knuckles” by The Snuts. Now set to make his middleweight debut, fans will be keen to see if he walks out to the same song or something entirely new for UFC London.
