It is equally important to note that the trending hashtag did not start with the UFC’s official Twitter account. Moreover, the comment section reveals that almost all the UFC fans have no answer about the reason why everybody is posting about Curtis Blaydes.
There are some hilarious memes doing the rounds on the Internet, and fans can’t keep calm.
Why was #CurtisBlaydesTwitter trending?
According to a lot of users, it all started with a Twitter account named Winkidinkjohnny sharing Curtis Blaydes’ photo without a beard, and calling him a “Neanderthal.”

As the internet is, it quickly got the attention of other Twitter users, and in no time #CurtisBlaydesTwitter was trending on top in Australia, with UFC’s official Twitter account chiming in on the same.
If you take a look at the cover photo of the Twitter profile, @Winkidinkjohnny, you will notice even Alexander Volkanovski joining in on the fun. While we were not able to locate his tweet, however, with the hashtag trending in Australia, it’s safe to say that it must have received the attention of the featherweight champ.

We were able to locate the oldest tweet from the same account referring to Curtis Blaydes, without the now-trending hashtag. Needless to say, it spoke highly of the UFC heavyweight.
