Sean Strickland is known to be one of the most outspoken figures in the UFC. The American fighter has no filters and he loves to speak his heart out despite the many controversies. Furthermore, he has become one of the most popular fighters in the company due to his unfiltered opinions. However, fellow UFC fighter Valentina Shevchenko feels that Strickland has crossed the line this time.
Strickland has been known for his sexist comments during various promotional events for the UFC. During the pre-fight press conference for UFC 293, he claimed that women don’t need to work and they should stay home and raise a family. Furthermore, ahead of his fight against Abus Magomedov, he claimed “We need to put women back in the kitchen.” However, his recent comment about Paige Van Zant caught the attention of Shevchenko.

Sean recently called out former MMA fighter, Paige Van Zant for claiming to make more via OnlyFans in 24 hours than she did the UFC. Furthermore, he took shots at her by saying that she was signed because of her looks and even called women’s MMA lame. “Men will pay more to see you naked than to watch you fight,” wrote Strickland.
However, his comments about women’s MMA did not sit well with ‘Bullet’. “That looks like an offended kid, who got less money in his entire fight career than female fighters do!” said Valentina. Furthermore, this led to a back-and-forth between the two fighters. The banter got serious when popular interviewer, Nina Marie Daniele added fuel to the fire.
I am glad you recognized your mistake !!!🔫 https://t.co/woO3NpEtm2

On an Instagram post related to this incident, Nina commented “Sean vs Valentina for the intergender title”. Furthermore, Sean Strickland was comfortable with the idea as he replied, “Come to the gym and I’ll show you what I’m saying lol…nicely of course.” However, the beef is resolved as Sean tweeted about finding peace after a 10 round death match with Valentina. Furthermore, Valentina ended the conversation by saying that she was glad that Strickland recognized his mistake.
Valentina Shevchenko called out Khabib for his ‘sexist’ comments
This is not the first time that Shevchenko has taken a stand against sexist remarks. Back in the year 2021, lightweight legend, Khabib Nurmagomedov made a decision not to use ring girls in his promotion, Eagle FC. Furthermore, he claimed that ring girls are unnecessary and useless in the world of mixed martial arts.
While he was okay with the UFC having ring girls, he believed that their function could be replaced by a display screen. Khabib claimed that he was not against it but it was his personal preference to have MMA without the use of ring girls. However, the former women’s flyweight champion was quick to take a stand against Khabib.

During the UFC 266 post-fight press conference, she had a strong counter for the lightweight goat. According to Valentina, no one should have the right to call the ring girls useless. “Beautiful women are a decoration of any event,” said Valentina. Furthermore, she reinforced her message by posting a picture with the UFC 266 ring girls on Instagram.
