Conor McGregor is once again donning the hat of a coach for the upcoming The Ultimate Fighter season 31. This is his second stint at the show, as he also appeared in TUF 22 many years ago. Although his student and teammate Artem Lobov fell short in the finale, Conor’s role as a coach was highly praised. Now, it looks like he has stepped up his coaching game to the next level!

“The Notorious One” often goes on Twitter rants whenever he pleases. During one such rant and back and forth with Khabib Nurmagomedov’s manager Ali Abdelaziz, Conor made some shocking claims about the most respected MMA coaches in the game right now. From Firas Zahabi to Trevor Wittman to Javier Mendez, Conor did not leave any of them alone. While he called Firas a “douchebag,” McGregor described Mendez as “a fat lick a**e kick boxer.”

The former UFC lightweight champ added, “Firaz zihabi is a little douchebag, Trevor wittman is a pad man. Javier Mendez is a fat lick arse kick boxer, Mike brown is a smelly prick, Greg Jackson got caught up, the system of coach kavanagh is now shining thru. In years to come the world will know what we have been at. It’s beginning to bare fruit, if you want to train. Train at sbg Ireland with kav. And me. We are a fight factory akin to butter churning.”

While fans can think of this Twitter post as a way to honor his long-time coach John Kavanagh, one can also take it as a spoiler for TUF 31. It is not a coincidence that Conor just had a stint as a coach himself and is waxing lyrical about his team of coaches. So it does seem like McGregor is extremely happy with the way his season has gone in TUF 31.

But, it will be interesting to see if McGregor has really spoiled the show or not. If he has, there may be consequences for Conor. Judging by the tweet, Conor’s time as a coach may have been a successful one, but it certainly was not peaceful.

Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler had a confrontation during TUF 31

As fans know by now, Conor McGregor is coaching opposite Michael Chandler at TUF 31. However, there is an extra element of drama related to them as the two are scheduled to fight as well. Hence, there is a heightened sense of rivalry between the two. Fan interest peaked on the matter recently, when reports added that Conor and Michael had a big confrontation inside the TUF house.

While the details have been kept under wraps, there are reports that someone was even slapped during the whole fiasco. During his recent shock appearance on The MMA Hour, Conor revealed that things became heated between the two momentarily. MMA journalist Amy Kaplan revealed that Conor McGregor put his hands on Chanlder after one of the fighters suffered a vicious KO loss.

Conor did reveal that it had something to do with one of his fighters, Lee Hammond. However, it is unclear if Hammond was the one who got knocked out or not. But fans will not have to wait for too long as TUF 31 is set to premiere on May 30 and it will run till August 15 on the ESPN network channel and ESPN+. If Conor’s recent tweet is anything to go by, fans can expect a very exciting season indeed.
