Former UFC double champion Conor McGregor comes to Paddy Pimblett‘s aid after pro wrestling superstar MJF’s derogatory comments.
All Elite Wrestling (AEW) champion MJF recently trashed UFC lightweight prospect Paddy Pimblett. According to the 26-year-old wrestler, Paddy is nothing but a very pale impersonation of the UFC superstar, Conor McGregor. Much like Conor’s early days, Paddy has become a huge star thanks to his entertaining fight style and savage promo skills.

However, Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) is not a big fan of Paddy’s persona and blasted him in a recent social media back and forth. But, Conor McGregor is not impressed with the comments and defends his fellow UFC fighter. In a recent tweet, McGregor showed his support for the Liverpool native. The 34-year-old also stated “a dollar store Conor,” has a value worth millions! However, he seems unaware of MJF’s identity.
A dollar store Conor is still worth millions! Let’s go young Paddy Pimb! Don’t know who this other clown is. pic.twitter.com/0Lt869Rwiu

Conor had interactions with the pro wrestling world before. He is an admirer of the former WWE chairman Vince McMahon and called him a “legend.” The Dublin native also imitated Vince’s power walk and labeled it as the “billy strut,” which has now become synonymous with the Irish superstar.
However, MJF is an AEW wrestler. Hence, there is a chance that Conor does not know who MJF is. But the AEW star did not take it kindly and responded on Twitter.
I’ll fuck the Conor clone up.
Then I’ll wipe my ass with the original.
Stay in your lane you roided up leprechaun.
You can’t hang with the @AEW World Champion. #Betterthanyou https://t.co/X6CPxoKwFT

Paddy Pimblett dreams of a fight against Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor and Paddy Pimblett are two of the biggest superstars in the UFC at the moment. Although Conor is in the later part of his career, Pimblett has only had three fights in the UFC and is just entering the prime of his career. Hence, Paddy wants to capitalize on it and fight McGregor in the Octagon. According to him, their bout will break the PPV buy-rate record of 2.4 million set by UFC 229.
“You never know, down the line me and him could end up fighting… It’s a possibility [if he] comes back down to 155 pounds. That would be the biggest pay-per-view in the history of the UFC.”
Although there is an urge from Paddy’s side to fight Conor, he does not have any animosity towards The Notorious One. Instead, his comments are out of respect for Conor’s superstardom. Paddy even visited Conor’s pub Black Forge Inn during his latest trip to Ireland. He and Molly McCann face timed McGregor and joked around.

So what is next for Paddy The Baddy? He will fight Jared Gordon in the last UFC PPV of the year, UFC 282. He will get great exposure as he fights in the co-main event of the card. Instead of Jiri Prochazka vs Glover Teixeira 2, Jan Blachowicz vs Magomed Ankalaev will headline the upcoming PPV. The decision comes after Jiri injured his shoulder and vacated the belt.
I am clear for testing in February. I will complete my two tests per USADA and we are booking a fight.

Conor McGregor, on the other hand, has been teasing a potential return to the Octagon for a while now. Recently, he stated that he will be available to undergo the six-month USADA testing protocol in February 2023. Reports added that McGregor has skipped drug testing for the entire calendar year of 2022. So it means McGregor will not be able to fight till September 2023 at the earliest.
