“I Thought You Bought a Tech Company” – Conor McGregor Fools the Internet With Steve Jobs Look, Announces Proper No. 12 Irish Apple Whiskey

Not more than 24 hours ago, Conor McGregor posted a photo, donning a Steve Jobs look which prompted several fans to think the Notorious was partnering with Apple. However, as it turned out, that was not the case. 

“Channeling my inner Steve Jobs for A MEGA ANNOUNCEMENT TOMORROW!” McGregor tweeted, drawing wild reactions from fight fans around the world. “I thought you bought a tech company. But you just added apple to your whiskey.” A user tweeted.

Could it be that Apple will partner with Conor McGregor, or the former two-division champion was stepping into the world of technology? The answer? Neither.

Conor McGregor’s Steve Jobs look was to promote his whiskey brand Proper No. 12 as they launch their latest edition called Proper No. 12 Irish Apple. Quite an intriguing way to market whiskey indeed! While the announcement may have been about whiskey, it’s hard not to appreciate McGregor and his team for such an incredible campaign that had everyone’s attention.

While he may not own Proper No. 12 right now, Conor McGregor is still the global brand ambassador and Chairman of the whiskey brand. “Now, we have a new revolutionary product,” McGregor announced on Instagram. With notes of crisp and juicy Irish apples, Proper No. 12 Irish Apple is the latest addition to Conor McGregor’s whiskey business.

Needless to say, once again, the timing is impeccable. McGregor is all set to make his UFC return later this year as he takes on Michael Chandler at the welterweight division following a months-long stint as a coach on The Ultimate Fighter season 31. McGregor will step inside the Octagon for the first time since the horrific leg break and will look to jump back to the winning column. 

It goes without saying, McGregor will use the UFC platform to promote his brand, and given his popularity, it’s sure to reap huge benefits.
