The future of Jon Jones in UFC seems uncertain at the moment. Though Jon Jones is all set to make his heavyweight debut the negotiation issues with UFC have delayed his octagon return. And it seems the UFC heavyweight division is moving on without Jones.
In a recent interview with Dana White confirmed that Francis Ngannou is taking on Derrick Lewis this summer. Now the date has not been announced for this heavyweight clash but we can expect this fight to take place after UFC 264. White stated:
“We are working on that fight(Ngannou vs Lewis). That fight is gonna happen in this summer.”
When Dana White was asked about Jon Jones and his management issue, White stated:
“Whether Jon has a manager or not Jon is going to do what Jon wants to do. it’s probably something that Jon needs to work out. I know him and Hunter have a good relationship. So I think those guys are gonna get together soon and talk. You look at the last however many years people ask me who I think the best ever is and I say, Jon Jones.”

Dana White Calls Jon Jones the GOAT
Despite all the negotiation disputes with Jones, White has a ton of respect for the former light heavyweight champion. White praises Jones and said:
“Jon Jones is a massive part of the history of the company. He is one of the best ever. Him, Anderson, Khabib, GSP wherever you stand on that he is one of the best of all time. Obviously, there are some big fights that can be made with him. We would love to do it. It’s not like we can’t get something done over here.”

Dana White has claimed again and again that Jon Jones is the greatest fighter of all time. However, there are arguments that justify Georges St-Pierre as the MMA GOAT. GSP’s title win at the middleweight division is what separates him from Jones.
If Jones can win the UFC heavyweight champion it will put the GOAT debate to rest as he will be ahead of any champion in the history of UFC.
